UFC Preview

BJ PENN Vs. GEORGE ST-PIERRE

Definately the fight that all MMA and especially UFC fans have been waiting for. Their first fight at UFC 58 was a real split decision. This time the progidy BJ will be more prepared and focused, as it showed in the build over the last month BJ is so up for this fight.GSP is arguably one of the top and most complete fighters in MMA. Dana White has said it is the fight for pound for pound champion which is arguably true, sure Anderson Silva would have a few things to say about that. I can see BJ Penn being good for 3 rounds if he needs that, GSP cardio will be far superior. BJ needs to beat him standing firstly, his speed is far quicker and striking is more accurate, the questions remains will GSP allow BJ to bang or will he try and take him down? GSP will also need to be cautious of the Ju Jitsu of BJ, who stands head and shoulders above most. GSP may win if he takes it to the ground and attempts to wear down BJ. BJ to win, maybe by TKO or tap out but the real winner will the fans

THIAGO SILVA vs. LYOTO MACHIDA

Battle of the unbeaten fighters, Thiago Silva will need to come out attacking and chasing down Machida. Silva’s  strengths are BJJ specialist and old school ground and pound, which will help if he can take down Machida. Machida’s karate has proved too tricky for all his previous opponents and has impressed no end since his introduction into the light heavyweight department. Both fighters are dreaming of a title fight and the winner may get a shot afterward. I personally think Machida’s karate fighting style it will be too much for the fighter Silva.

JON JONES vs. STEPHAN BONNAR

Fans favourite Stephan Bonnar back in the octagon, the American Psycho fights unbeaten Jon Bones Jones. Its Jones’ second fight after UFC 87. Not seen much of Jones but with his mixed array of skills, it may cause 14-4 Bonnar problems. Bonnar may have the fans favourite tag but I can see a crowd pleaser being upset.

DONG HYUN KIM vs. KARO PARISYAN

Karo Parisyan first fight since UFC fight night and his lose to the Pitbull Thiago Alves.
The Korean,  Dong Hyun Kim 10-0-1, with two previous wins in UFC will have a real test against the Judo and grappling specialist Karo. I can see a quick win for Karo

AKIHIRO GONO vs. JON FITCH

Non televised fight due to imaging rights, Jon Fitch coming back from his loss to GSP. Fitch will over power Gono early and will win by TKO.
