Yahoo “year in review” 2009 top 10 UK searches

This years yahoo search top 10 has been released and a few surprises in there.

Here is the top 10 –

1. Big Brother
2. X Factor
3. Job centre
4. Michael Jackson
5. Jade Goody
6. Premier League
7. Swine Flu
8. Katie Price
9. Cheryl Cole
10. Train Times

Not sure if it is a reflection of yahoo users or what dates they went from, but the top search was the worst and ultimate series that ended “Big Brother”.

Second came ITV and Simon Cowell’s pop machine x factor.

Third went to the job centre, with the global recession this is not a massive shock.

It also includes two celebs which passed away, king of pop Michael Jackson at number four and English reality tv star Jade Goody fifth.

Swine flu which swept the world came in 7th, and was followed by glamour model and business women Katie Price aka Jordan.
9th was Cheryl Cole, one fifth of Girls Aloud, xfactor judge and solo star Cheryl Cole, and lastly train times.

What interests me is there is no google, no facebook and no twitter included in their top 10. I can guarantee that all three will show up in Google’s end of year searches.

I can assure you that google’s end of year results will be completely different.
